The desert morning sunrise from my meditation room window

Creating a mindful morning ritual or practice on how you start your day helps to set the right energy in motion for you. Often times we can go through this blur or rush in the morning and never really allow ourselves to get present with the day. I’ve said this many times before and I’ll say it again, you receive intuitive guidance in the present moment. By being more aware, mindful and in the here and now, sets the groundwork to live an intuitively guided life and business.

I’ve experimented with this concept for years. Trying different morning routines on for size, utilizing a variety of tools, exercises and practices to get my day going. And it’s in constant evolution. There truly is no right or wrong. You must find the rhythm that works for you.

The important thing is that you do have something for yourself that grounds your vision, your intentions, your energy in the present and inspires you to seize the day to its fullest.

Through my experiences, I have found that these 4 Key Elements are necessary to set up your day for intuitive success.

  1. Intention Setting.   In Carlos Castaneda’s book “The Active Side of Infinity.” he deepens the meaning of intention with this quote from the book “Intent is a force that exists in the universe. When sorcerers (those who live of the Source) beckon intent, it comes to them and sets up the path for attainment, which means that sorcerers always accomplish what they set out to do.”  Rather than striving to achieve goals and desires through mere will power – which would be the traditional definition of intention, he speaks to setting intentions as truly about tapping into the force of Source that we all have within us.When getting clear about your intentions, ask yourself this:  How do I want to feel for the day? Peace, expansion, vibrancy, abundance? Claim the intention you want to put in motion to create and receive and say it out loud “My intention is to be of service to my clients in the highest way.”  And so it is.
  2. Meditation.  There are numerous benefits to meditation and many scientific studies that have been done to prove it’s effectiveness on your overall health and wellness.  Meditation connects you to your body, your intuition and Spirit.  Create time for morning silence, whether that’s just 5 minutes or 50 minutes.  Over time you will notice an increase in your awareness and intuition by silencing the outside world and learning how to go within.
  3. Pump Up the Positivity. Happiness love company.  So does misery.  Be sure to choose your morning thoughts wisely.  You can say daily affirmations, read or watch something inspirational or keep a gratitude journal.  Showering your morning with goodness will magnify more goodness in your life.  Here’s a simple affirmation you can use to strengthen your inner wisdom, “I trust my intuition always guides me to live a purposeful and abundant life!”
  4. Nourishment.  Give the gift of healthful foods for yourself in the morning.  Your body serves as the vehicle to create a life you love. Take care of her and she will take care of you.  When you live on the path of consciousness, your body will tell you exactly what it needs to nourish your purpose.  I know when I started to eat more mindfully, my energy levels raised, my intuition become extremely sharp and accurate and my body became strong.  Love your body up with delicious, high vibrational living foods.

Play with these 4 elements to find the right combo that helps you live an intuitively inspired and connected day.

We’ve got this one life, so make it worth living.

Currently here is my morning ritual that gets me in the flow to receive miracles, intuitive guidance and create a life that I adore.

  • I usually wake up around 6am… now this varies depending on my body’s wisdom. If I know the night before that I want to sleep in then I don’t set my alarm and just let my body wake up when it wants to, which tends to be around the same time anyways.
  • I take some time laying in bed to be grateful. I go over what I am grateful for, sometimes I say it out loud or I just think of it in my head.
  • Then I have a little something to eat, usually a piece of fruit or maybe a little bit of granola with almond milk.
  • And my fave part is spending the next 30 – 45 minutes in meditation as I let my body digest. My meditations vary from day to day but they normally consist of deep breathing, grounding myself into the present moment, clearing out my chakras, visualizing my intentions and goals, affirmative prayer, or chanting.
  • I then let the body movement begin with my morning workout – currently I am in Round 2 and month 2 of Shaun T’s Insanity. I love this workout, it’s pretty hardcore for my liking but intuitively it’s what my body has been needing at the moment. Oh and as I work out I like to say positive affirmations while I’m at it too. I feel like they really get to work into the muscle memory of my body.
  • After I’m done sweating up a storm, the clock is about ready to strike 8am and it’s my daily check in with my good friend and fellow coaching Goddess Chieko Watanabe. We take 10 minutes every morning at 8am to share what we accomplished in our businesses the day before, what is on our to do list for the day, and setting an intention for the day. We have been doing this for almost two years now and it’s been amazing to have an accountability partner who keeps you inspired, motivated and just cares about you being the best you can be.
  • It’s breakfast time and some days it’s juicing a bunch of veg and fruits, or making a superfood smoothie or I have an occasional omelette with garlic fried rice (it’s a filipino thang).  As I eat I like to read a passage from Mark Nepo’s “The Book of Awakening” or find something inspirational to read or watch.
  • Last but not least, I turn up the volume with happy music, hop in the shower, get ready and start my day usually around 9am or so.

And tada!  By the time I sit down at my desk to focus, I’m fully present, my body is strong, loved up and I’m connected to my intuition.  As you can see I give myself like a good 3 hours of me time in the morning.  Some of you may not have that amount of time, but you can definitely carve out a schedule that works best for you.

Remember to use your intuition, listen to what your body needs and experiment with different techniques for yourself.

Now it’s your turn.

Do you have your own personal morning ritual that get’s your day going? What do you do everyday to make your day successful?

I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.

As always, thank you for being here with me!

Seeing you living in brilliance, joy and abundance. Namaste!
