Feeling that tug in your heart to embark on a new direction in your life can be terrifying.  Not knowing how things will unfold can stir up feelings of inadequacy, fear and lack of confidence.

Even worse is when everyone thinks you’ve gone to the loony bin with your grandiose idea and your family and friends all tell you not to do it.   That’s when paralysis can really kick in, putting your purpose and dreams on hold.

How can you build up that inner fire within to still follow your heart, when all you have is a vision but no emotional, financial or moral support?

Today you’ll hear all about what it takes to go with your gut from my very guest, Bhante Sujatha founder of the Blue Lotus Temple, a Buddhist Temple and Meditation Center in Woodstock, IL.

When Bhante’s “deep inner heart” gave him the intuitive guidance to leave his mother land of Sri Lanka for the U.S., he was met with much resistance from his community.   As a “Stubborn Monk” (which is beyond awesome!) he followed his heart, knowing that it was a huge risk but welcomed it with love and compassion.

Facing uncertainty in order to spread his message of adding more love to the world has unfolded beautifully for him.  Bhante travels, teaches and speaks globally sharing his wisdom about loving-kindness, mindfulness and meditation.

Watch this brand new video where I interview Bhante Sujatha as he talks about three ways to follow your heart and take risks with confidence and purpose.

In the comments below, we would love to hear from you.

  1. What is the biggest insight you are taking away from this interview?
  2. What risk are you ready to take in order to fulfill your purpose?

If you’re already a fan of Bhante, you know how much love he emanates and what a powerful force of light he is.  Do share your experiences with his teachings below.
